Cherry Callao live @ Plazuela de Iloilo

Ilonggo pop singer and now one of the Ilongga Divas, Cherry Callao recently shines at “Sarap Magbago Ilonggo,” an all-Ilonggo concert and fashion last August 27, 2011, 7PM onwards at Plazuela de Iloilo. Cherry together with her fellow i-Divas performed an exclusive Pepsi song that they co-wrote while simultaneous with a fashion show of RED LOGO models. Then they performed their upcoming Ilongga Divas first single entitled “Say.” Cherry also performed her original Ilonggo hit songs “Ikaw Guid Lang” and “Kasubo.” Ilonggo rap groups such as Click THIS, Paramour Sifee, Urban Mobztaz, SYK Unit, I’ll Sidaz with solo artists R-nic and Ezzy performed their original songs. Papa Prince of Campus Radio 93.5 hosted the event.

Fashion and music will collide to create a stellar show at “Sarap Magbago Ilonggo” on August 27, 2011, 7pm onwards at Plazuela de Iloilo’s Plaza Mayor. Conceptualized by 8FINITY Events and Promotion, the non-stop fashion show, concert and nightlife party will gather the brightest Ilonggo pop artists in one special night live at the city’s newest party and entertainment hub, Plazuela de Iloilo. The fierce fashion show featuring RED Logo apparels and models will invade the runway together with the live music of Ilongga Divas. Ilongga Divas is a pop trio of local recording singers who released their Ilonggo singles in Iloilo and Bacolod FM stations such as Sheila Barrios (Ginpalangga), Irish D. (Ikaw) and Cherry Callao (Kasubo). They are also set to perform their first group single entitled “SAY.” Rap group Clique THIS with their popular song “Ilongga Gwapa” will entertain the crowd. Guest rap artists such as Paramour Sifee, Mix Ilonggo Crew, Urban Mobtaz, Ezzy and a lot more will perform original rap songs. Twilight Band will fire up the evening for a non-stop nightlife party. Cherry with Ilongga Divas @ Jaro National High School

Ilongga Divas Sheila Barrios, Irish D. and Cherry Callao once again proved their charm and talent onstage with their pop show at Jaro National High School last July 22, 2011 from 6PM onwards. The Ilonggo pop singers were invited by the faculty and staff to have a full show of pure Ilonggo music as part of their acquaintance party celebration. Sheila Barrios performed her massively hit song “Ginpalangga” and “Sa Handum Na Guid Lang” where almost all the students got mesmerized by her soulful voice. Irish D. sang her two Ilonggo singles “Ikaw” and “Pano Na” where she proved her star power onstage. Cherry Callao sang her Ilonggo singles “Ikaw Guid Lang” and “Kasubo” with all the boys and girls got touched by the message of her songs. Zpinx Angel of Mix Ilonggo crew performed his song “Padayon” with Sheila Barrios and a solo rap song. Urban Mobztaz, a pure Ilonggo rap group also performed 5 of their original rap songs onstage. Ilonggo rapper Ezzy performed his dance single “E-shembot,” a collaboration with Reyn Callao. The divas finally performed the song “Aton Manggad,” the theme song of Sinadya sa Suba Iloilo River Festival. The students screamed a lot and enjoyed the show of pure Ilonggo talents.

Cherry with Ilongga Divas for Iloilo River

Spreading cultural pride through Ilonggo music with a significant purpose, the trio of local recording artists Sheila Barrios, Irish D. and Cherry Callao will stage a unique pop show with social advocacy entitled “Ilongga Divas 4 Iloilo River” on July 16, 2011, 2:30-4PM at Gaisano City Events Center. The event will continue the Iloilo River Project: 1-Million Signature Campaign. The artists will perform “Aton Manggad” the “Sinadya sa Suba” Iloilo River festival theme song live onstage. Different schools and universities will be invited to watch this free show that will highlight the best of Ilonggo music. Each of these Ilongga divas has their own respective solo singles playing in various FM stations in Iloilo and Bacolod City. Sheila Barrios popular songs are “Ginpalangga” and “Sa Handum na Guid Lang,” Irish D. single is “Ikaw” while Cherry Callao has two singles “Ikaw Guid Lang” and “Kasubo.” The event promises to be a two-hour spectacle of non-stop live performances of Ilonggo music and English cover songs with guest Ilonggo artists and dancers from the University of Iloilo will also perform onstage. The artists will promote their compilation album CD entitled Ilonggo Pop and will give-away CDs of Iloilo River song.
